Single use plastic waste at events goes far beyond the cups and straws…


In 2018 we audited event waste and pollution across the UK.

The results were far worse than we imagined…


Events by their very nature are temporary but the waste they leave behind is not.

Exhibition Booths

Most exhibition booths are clad in single-use, non-recyclable, toxic plastics, which are either incinerated, sent to landfill (or worse…), when they are finished with.

Bespoke product displays created using acrylic and graphic vinyls are, again, either incinerated or sent to landfill at the end of the launch activation.

Most temporary brand experiences are created using virgin, single-use plastic that is not recycled at its end of use.

Similarly to exhibition booths, festival structures are clad in single-use plastic and internally finished with single-use plastic elements, most of which are incinerated or sent to landfill at the end of the event.
